New adventures on the horizon π
School is almost over - just under 2 weeks left! I'm so excited to start my internship in just under a month, 20 days exactly. I'm also super excited to see my parents in France! I'll be moving across France to the northwest coast of Brittany (Bretagne) and be working at a coastal hotel in Le Conquet, a small commune 30 minutes away from Brest.
My biggest factor for selecting this location, and not another location in the southern coast of the CΓ΄te d'Azur is the type of pastries they prepare (and the possibility of employment after). One of my favourite types of preparations that the hotel creates is tea time snacks, which as my absolute favourite. I'm so excited to finally be able to make more of these creations on a regular basis. They also have a gastronomic restaurant (in France it's the type of restaurant between a bistro/cafe and a Michelin-star restaurant) which I will also be preparing desserts for. As well, they often have seminars and weddings in which I will be assisting preparing desserts and cakes for.
Along with the change in environment away from school and towards the internship, I'm looking forward to spending more time on the blog. I'm looking forward to posting more recipes, at least once a month, and sharing some tips to help you become a better baker in the kitchen. Let me know what you want to see, reply to this email with anything you would like to see me post and I'll try my best!
We'll talk soon, and I'll update you in a couple of weeks with what I've been up to since leaving school and what I was up to during my one-week vacation after school finishes. Until then, here is a photo of the latest creation I made at school, a croquenbouche, made 100% from consumable materials
Until next time, Happy Adventuring,
Ahmed
